Certified Nutrient Mitigation
STS delivers a Natural England–assessed mitigation scheme that installs and maintains PTPs, issues nutrient credits, and tracks compliance via a digital platform — helping developers meet nutrient neutrality rules and secure planning approval.
A Practical Route Through Planning Delays
New developments in sensitive catchments are increasingly held up by nutrient neutrality requirements. Our scheme offsets the wastewater impact of new homes by upgrading existing rural treatment systems — enabling Local Planning Authorities to approve your development with confidence.
We handle the mitigation, the paperwork, and the long-term maintenance — so you can focus on delivery.
A Digital Platform Built for Developers
Our custom platform puts control and clarity in your hands — from initial enquiry to planning submission. Track credit availability in real time, generate site-specific documentation, and manage your mitigation strategy all in one place.
Clear Documentation
Generate credit certificates in just a few clicks, with easy access to project details, invoices, and audit-ready records.
Project Dashboard
Monitor credit status, installation milestones, and servicing timelines from a single interface.
Compliance Tracking
Every credit is logged, timestamped, and linked to mitigation activity — supporting LPA confidence and long-term assurance.
Guided by Advice from Natural England
We received advice from Natural England confirming that Local Planning Authorities can rely on our scheme when undertaking Appropriate Assessments. This provides confidence for developers, planners, and homeowners navigating the nutrient neutrality process.
Secure Credits and Move Forward With Confidence
Credit availability depends on catchment and timing. Get in touch today to check availability, review site suitability, or explore how STS can support your next planning submission.

Add your project in the portal. Our system checks spatial compliance and shows available credits that match your catchment and LPA rules.
Credits must satisfy Natural England/LPA rules for the relevant catchment/waterbody. The portal only presents options that meet these criteria.
Use Credit Request in the portal to register your need. We’ll alert you as soon as compliant supply is available. Or you can just email us at support@yoursts.co.uk.
Yes. Pay 25% to reserve. The portal issues a Letter of Intent (LOI) tied to your project once the reservation payment is received.
Many LPAs accept an LOI at validation or during determination, but policies vary. Check with your case officer. A Credit Certificate is typically required before decision or condition discharge.
Pay 100% of the credit price. Once payment is received, your Credit Certificate is issued to your project workspace for download.
- 25% reservation → LOI (confirms reservation and scheme details).
- 100% purchase → Credit Certificate (with project identifiers for LPA verification).
Online payment (in-portal): Pay by secure bank transfer via Open Banking. Documents (LOI or Certificate) unlock automatically once payment is confirmed.
Offline payment (invoice): Choose Invoice at checkout. We email an invoice for the selected amount (25% for reservation or 100% for full purchase). The corresponding document becomes available only after the invoice is paid in full and funds have cleared; then it will be downloadable in the portal.

Yes. You can buy to the exact kg required. Our registry allocates and locks credits to your project to prevent double counting.
We hold a Section 111 agreement with South Norfolk Council, which is then underpinned by a cross boundary agreement between South Norfolk and other planning authorities in Norfolk and DAS approval from Natural England, underpinning our ability to deliver compliant credits across nutrient-sensitive catchments.
Credits are backed by on-the-ground treatment assets with STS-managed servicing/monitoring and ongoing reporting to authorities.
